Cardano (ADA) has seen a substantial increase in activity over the past few days. This heightened activity can partly be attributed to recent developments on the network. Here are the latest figures for the popular cryptocurrency!
Cardano’s New Wallet Numbers
According to recent data, Cardano processed 255,000 payments in the last 24 hours. The cryptocurrency network has seen the creation of 5,500 new wallets per day. This could be an indicator of increasing activity and adoption. Consequently, the number of daily active addresses on the network has risen from 31,000 to 45,000 in the past few days. Additionally, Daily Transactions have increased from 54,000 to 80,000.
Comments from Charles Hoskinson could also potentially affect investors’ future outlook. In a recent tweet, he criticized Bitcoin (BTC) Layer 2 solutions while praising Cardano and Ethereum (ETH). He highlighted the challenges faced by L2 initiatives on Bitcoin and argued that Bitcoin’s inherent limitations make it difficult to support the requirements of a robust environment.
Current Data on Cardano
In contrast, both Ethereum and Cardano are continuously upgrading to offer developers advanced options for deploying reliable and secure L2 solutions. Despite the increased activities, the total fees collected by the Cardano network continue to decline. Last month, Cardano witnessed a significant drop of 29.4% in fees.
This situation has raised concerns about the network’s revenue generation and sustainability. As a result, incentives for network validators and stakers could be affected. Cardano’s development activity showed continuous growth at the time of writing. However, things did not look as positive on the social front. Weighted sentiments suggested that negative comments outweighed positive ones.
