Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US by volume, is striving to increase its global presence. The global exchange and futures trading have not been active for many years. However, Coinbase officials are working to attract investor interest by increasing alternative assets on these new platforms.
Altcoin Listing Last Minute
Coinbase announced that it will list three different altcoins for futures trading on August 29. It is accelerating listings on both the spot and futures sides, likely expecting a volume increase globally in the last quarter. In bear markets, pairs are removed, and volumes weaken, leading to altcoin deaths.
However, the opposite is true in bull markets. We see many more new cryptocurrencies and new pairs being introduced with increased listing frequencies. The assets for which futures trading pairs will be launched are:
- RENDER
- SAGA
- T
The pairs are expected to be launched on August 29 at 9:30 UTC. These assets will be accessible on Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. About 5 hours ago, futures pairs for ATOM, DYDX, and OM Coin were also activated on the exchange.
