Etherscan’s Notable New Step
Ethereum ecosystem’s open-source blockchain explorer, Etherscan, has launched a new feature for user approval. Named Cards, this tab allows users to easily follow airdrop events and many other processes for any Ethereum address they choose.
Through the Etherscan homepage, users can search for any wallet address and follow all transactions made from this wallet. With the Cards feature, users can now examine unclaimed airdrop events, messages received via IDM, and token permissions all on one page.
Airdrop events have gained significant momentum especially since the early days of 2024, with many platforms starting to conduct airdrop events. Users can now easily track unclaimed or forgotten events on Etherscan and check the market value of the respective airdrop event.
Web3 Space and Security Issues
Additionally, users can also follow NFTs previously approved for purchase and sale from NFT marketplaces like OpenSea. As shown in the image, there is also a control panel for NFTs that have been previously approved and are still in the approval process. Removing these permissions in the event of a potential hack attack is crucial for wallet security.
Etherscan directs users to the blockchain platform Bankless for information about the airdrop event. Following this redirection, users can register via email with the platform to receive notifications about upcoming airdrop events. This service is crucial for users to safely follow airdrop events, check messages received via IDM, and monitor contract approvals for NFTs and tokens.
