Will Bitcoin Reach Its Peak in 2025?
Van de Poppe expects Bitcoin to peak in 2025, but he points out that more investment is needed. He states, “I don’t expect Bitcoin to reach its peak in 2025 because it requires significantly more capital to push it higher.” He believes that the cycles will be shaped by macroeconomic factors and insists that Bitcoin’s rise will be based on longer-term macro perspectives.
He asserts that Bitcoin’s future rise will be supported by macroeconomic factors. “As global money supply increases, the US money supply is lagging. The labor market is expected to weaken in 2025, increasing the likelihood of a recession, which will lead to a rapid expansion of US money supply. This situation will help maintain Bitcoin’s momentum,” he stated. Van de Poppe believes these dynamics will accelerate Bitcoin’s future rise.

Van de Poppe noted that Bitcoin’s upward journey will not always be smooth. He expressed his expectation for a significant correction at the beginning of 2025, stating, “I anticipate a 30% correction towards the end of the first quarter. It will resemble the correction we saw in 2024.” This statement indicates that Bitcoin will be subject to volatility and price corrections in the short term.
