Tron (TRX) network’s founder Justin Sun launched a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Sun.io, introducing a new token creation tool called SunPump. SunPump allows users to create their own memecoins on the Tron Blockchain, directly competing with Solana’s (SOL) popular memecoin creator pump.fun.
Offering a Secure and Supportive Ecosystem Against Memecoin Frauds
Recently, the bull run in the cryptocurrency market has led to a rapid increase in the value of memecoins. Shiba Inu (SHIBA), Pepe (PEPE), Dogwifhat (WIF), and Floki Inu (FLOKI) have reached billion-dollar market values, attracting significant attention. This situation has also paved the way for malicious actors to create fake projects and scam investors.
Unsurprisingly, some memecoin projects created on Solana’s pump.fun platform were involved in “rug pull” incidents, leaving investors at a loss after quick gains.
Sun.io’s SunPump platform aims to provide a safer environment against such fraud attempts. Sun emphasized the platform’s security measures, stating, “Projects and token creators must undergo a strict review process to be listed on SunPump. This process aims to enhance user safety and trust in the platform.” He also highlighted that SunPump aims to offer a secure environment by emphasizing community oversight and transparency.
Moreover, SunPump is taking significant steps to support the development of new projects. Sun announced that through a partnership with the cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex, projects with a daily trading volume exceeding 1 million dollars will have the chance to be listed on the exchange. This will facilitate the projects’ reach to a broader audience and provide liquidity.
10 Million Dollar Support Program Announced for Memecoin Projects
Sun.io also launched a 10 million dollar Meme Ecosystem Support Incentive Program to support the memecoin ecosystem. The program will provide resources to new memecoin projects, helping them build on a more solid foundation.
