Mercuryo has partnered with Bitget Wallet to integrate Apple Pay, making Bitget Wallet the first application in its category to offer one-tap crypto purchases via Apple Pay. The feature, embedded directly into Bitget Wallet’s main app – which boasts nearly 90 million users – now allows users to buy digital assets swiftly and seamlessly using iPhone, Apple Watch, or other Apple devices.
Bitget Wallet Delivers a Reinvented Payment Experience
Positioning itself as a leading platform, Bitget Wallet enables trading, staking, payments, and seamless interaction within the Web3 ecosystem. Supporting more than 130 different blockchains, it offers an advanced swap system, real-time market data, an integrated decentralized application (dApp) browser, and flexible crypto payment options via QR code, card, or in-app store. The goal is to give users a secure, intuitive, and fast Web3 experience, making digital asset transactions and management more accessible than ever.
Apple Pay Integration and Promotional Offers
The addition of Apple Pay through Mercuryo simplifies the process for users to purchase leading digital assets. The two largest stablecoins, Tether (USDt) and USD Coin (USDC), are now easily buyable via Apple devices. Between March 10 and April 30, transaction fees are waived for US Dollar and Euro transactions, while a 50% discount is applied to purchases in other fiat currencies. Major tokens such as Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) also benefit from discounted transaction fees during this period.
Moreover, the Mercuryo integration allows users worldwide to benefit from zero commission fees for purchases up to €200 – an advantage available everywhere except the US and the UK.
Tailored Payment Options and Convenience for Nigeria
In Nigeria, Bitget Wallet users can link their bank cards to Apple Pay and complete identity verification within the wallet app to buy Bitcoin directly. Purchases can be made using credit or debit cards, as well as through third-party service providers such as Alchemy Pay, Banxa, Mercuryo, and Simplex. Apple Pay’s security features – including facial recognition, fingerprint authentication, and passcodes – validate payments, while transaction fees generally range between 2.5% and 3.5%.
Bitget Wallet’s card holders can add their wallet cards to Apple Pay and conveniently use their crypto assets for everyday shopping. However, users are reminded that some bank cards may be subject to international restrictions, potentially limiting their use.
A Forward Step for Web3 Adoption and Ecosystem Expansion
Mercuryo’s integration marks a significant development in bringing crypto payment solutions closer to mainstream financial applications. By combining secure card storage, contactless payments, and seamless on-chain asset access, the partnership streamlines capital management for both individuals and businesses.
In parallel, Bitget has joined forces with Morph Chain to become the first exchange expanding its on-chain ecosystem through this partnership. The collaboration enables Bitget users to trade digital assets within the Morph ecosystem, fostering further growth in decentralized finance offerings.
Mercuryo stated that all crypto purchase transactions are completed within the app, emphasizing that the integration brings cryptocurrencies even closer to everyday financial life.
Mercuryo remains committed to continued innovation in Web3-based payment solutions, maintaining its strategy of bridging the gap between conventional finance and the digital asset world.
