Crypto investors are compelled to act swiftly due to a seldom-encountered vulnerability. iPhone and Mac users actively using mobile banking must also take measures against the new 0day vulnerability. But what does this mean?
Your Device Could Be Hacked
There are vulnerabilities that can lead to the loss of device access through very simple actions or even without clicking any links or performing any transactions. For example, in the past, devices with Java installed could be infected by viruses just by clicking on a link. A recent announcement by Trust Wallet discusses a new vulnerability targeting iOS users.
Crypto wallet service provider Trust Wallet’s announcement states;
“The Trust Wallet security team has received reliable information about the existence of a zero-day exploit targeting iOS iMessage users.
This vulnerability, which can infect the device passively through iMessage without any user action, is quite dangerous.
Since it is currently unpatched, it is recommended that users disable iMessage, which can be done by going to Settings -> Messages -> Turn off iMessage”.
