Ripple‘s escrow balance for XRP is back in the spotlight following renewed attention on social media. Members of the XRP community have circulated recent data detailing Ripple’s current escrow holdings, seeking to counter what they describe as outdated and conflicting figures online.
Community shares current XRP escrow figures
X user Saul pointed out widespread confusion about the level of XRP held in escrow. To provide clarity, he published updated numbers reflecting Ripple’s escrow balance, citing a total of 32.4 billion XRP.
To further verify this data, Hussein Zangana, director of community at the XRP Ledger Foundation and known as Vet on X, referenced the XRP Ledger explorer tool XRPScan. Vet shared a screenshot from XRPScan that showed detailed metrics, including the total number of activated accounts, burned XRP, escrowed XRP, and the circulating supply.
According to XRPScan, active XRP accounts now total 8,019,684. The network has burned 14,365,934 XRP to date, and 32,445,002,702 XRP remain locked in escrow. The current circulating supply, meanwhile, stands at 67,526,265,430 XRP.

Vet also highlighted new steps Ripple has taken to increase transparency regarding its operations on the XRP Ledger. In a recent update, Ripple included all of its public operation accounts and addresses in the XRPL toml file on its official website. These details, including validator signatures from Ripple’s own UNL validator, are now publicly accessible.
The publication lists 20 distinct XRP escrow accounts, organized into two clusters, a handful of validators (with only one listed on the distributed Unique Node List, or dUNL), and an address for the RLUSD issuer.
