David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer at Ripple, has reported a significant and unexplained improvement in the stability of his personal XRP Ledger (XRPL) hub server. Over the past two weeks, Schwartz observed that his server’s peer connections have become more reliable, helping the number of active connections rise above 500 for the first time in several weeks.

Schwartz stated that his server has sustained connections with over 500 peers, compared to previous periods of frequent disconnects. At its most recent reading, the chart he shared showed 501 active peers, which is near the recent two-week high of 509.
“Over the past two weeks my hub has mysteriously gotten more stable and reliable with fewer peer disconnects. I’m not sure of the cause, but I’ll take it. I’m back over 500 peers!” Schwartz wrote on X.
Over the last two weeks, Schwartz noticed his XRPL server operating more predictably, with fewer dropped connections and a more stable presence in the network.
This improved connection stability comes after a period when the server had experienced frequent interruptions, requiring it to continuously re-establish peer connections. Sustained connectivity typically indicates a healthier server environment, with better data consistency and network participation.

An XRPL hub server, such as the one operated by Schwartz, is responsible for maintaining connections with many other servers on the XRP Ledger network.
