Japanese financial giant SBI Global Asset Management is partnering with the Yomiuri Shimbun Group to host a seminar aimed at steering investors toward digital assets. Titled “What should investors think in a turbulent world and rising markets?”, the event is set for Tuesday, June 30 at Tokyo’s Yomiuri Otemachi Hall.
Stronger focus on digital assets
Regulators in Japan are actively encouraging traditional investors to modernize their portfolios by embracing digital assets. This upcoming seminar offers participants hands-on opportunities to engage with the cryptocurrency market, including live demonstrations and personalized guidance.
Attendees who participate in person will receive a gift of XRP valued at 1,000 yen. However, this incentive is available only to those holding an active SBI VC Trade account on the day of the event. SBI VC Trade is one of Japan’s prominent platforms for cryptocurrency trading and custody.

The second part of the event will feature Asakura in conversation with author Sayaka Aoki, a familiar name in the media world. Aoki reaches a large readership through her monthly Yomiuri Shimbun column chronicling her personal finance journey. The on-stage discussion will focus on practical strategies for long-term wealth creation.
Attendance is completely free but pre-registration is mandatory. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., with the main session running from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. A significant portion of the event will be streamed live online.
