The real-world asset (RWA) tokenization sector has undergone a notable shift in capital flows during the week of October 18–25, 2026, as reported by the RWA Foundation and Token Terminal. While Ethereum previously dominated the landscape, alternative blockchains have started attracting significant investor attention and capital.
Solana emerges as major beneficiary
Solana recorded dramatic growth in the tokenized funds segment, attracting $453.5 million in new inflows. This figure represented 73% of the total capital that entered the top 10 blockchains in the RWA space during the period. Stellar followed Solana, but trailed significantly with $124.5 million in inflows.
The shift in capital has also affected networks like XRP Ledger, which joined the top 10 but saw a comparatively modest result of $131,000. The discrepancy highlights Solana’s leading role in capital attraction, while Ethereum infrastructure experienced a decline in trading volumes.
Solana’s rapid rise put it far ahead of its competitors in the weekly RWA inflow rankings, showing the pace at which investors are moving funds toward blockchains offering efficiency and innovation.
Tokenized stocks and wallet growth
The market for tokenized stocks also saw changes. Ethereum’s market capitalization in this segment dropped by $26 million. The capital released from Ethereum moved predominantly into BNB Chain, which gained $135.9 million, and Solana, which received an additional $55.8 million.
Solana outpaced other blockchains in stockholder address growth, adding 114,600 wallets over the reporting week. The Backpack platform saw 58,500 new addresses during the same period. Meanwhile, Binance’s retail-focused platforms, bStocks and xStocks, brought in $127.8 million and $73.4 million, respectively. These products combined accounted for nearly 94% of the monetary expansion in the tokenized stocks segment.
Stablecoin market dynamics
In the stablecoin market, the division between issuance volumes and user adoption became clear. Paxos led in capital inflow, growing its capitalization by $249.8 million, which amounted to 65% of the gains among the top 10 issuers. These funds were primarily distributed through the Arc protocol and Solana network.
User base expansion, on the other hand, was led by Tether. The issuer accounted for 90% of all new addresses across the top 10 stablecoin businesses, with 1.7 million new wallets registered in just one week. BNB Chain served as the main driver of this surge, adding 1.3 million addresses. Tron and Solana followed, with 212,000 and 184,000 new addresses, respectively.
Institutional trends and capital preferences
Large institutional investors maintained strong inflows into the tokenized funds space. Financial institutions Franklin Templeton and J.P. Morgan contributed $33.9 million and $33.6 million, respectively, making up almost half of the sector’s weekly growth. Independent fund Spiko distinguished itself by bringing in 491 new investors’ addresses during the same period.
Liquidity in the RWA sector is now driven primarily by investors and issuers seeking either maximum supply volume or lower transaction costs when choosing blockchain platforms.
