The Altcoin Season Index indicates that the market is currently in an altcoin season, a sentiment echoed by 10x Research CEO Markus Thielen. While Bitcoin’s price is in consolidation, altcoins like HBAR, XLM, and XRP are leading the rally.

The altcoin season is highlighted by a decline in Bitcoin 
$80,917 dominance. Bitcoin’s market share has dropped to 53.80%, while altcoins like XRP, XLM, and HBAR have seen gains exceeding 400%. Thielen pointed out that the altcoin season provides expanding trading opportunities in the market, stating, “The altcoin season has strongly reflected in the markets, and it is clear that this trend will continue.”
Bitcoin’s price has retreated from $99,700 to $96,000, yet this has galvanized altcoins. Ripple (XRP) 
$1 surged to third place in market capitalization with a 400% increase. Ethereum 
$2,298 and Solana 
$95 are expected to reclaim leadership in the coming period.
South Korea is standing out with retail investor activities during the altcoin season. The 24-hour trading volume has reached $34 billion, with significant interest in altcoins like XRP and HBAR from South Korean investors.
High Expectations for XRP and HBAR
The rise of XRP has gained momentum following a breakout of a long-term technical formation after the U.S. elections. Thielen emphasized the extraordinary nature of the XRP rally and predicted its continuation. Currently, XRP’s market capitalization exceeds $150 billion, making it one of the most notable projects this year.
Altcoins like HBAR and SHIB are also demonstrating impressive performance. HBAR maintains investor interest due to its strong partnerships and technological advancements. SHIB’s price increased by 4%, and Shiba Inu’s developer Shytoshi Kusama announced upcoming tokens SHIFU and TREAT, indicating potential price increases for SHIB.
