RWA is Expanding
Tokenization of U.S. Treasury bonds has established a leading role in the integration of blockchain technology into financial applications. Fidelity Investments has entered the regulatory approval process to create a tokenized money market fund on the Ethereum 
$1,934 network. This step signifies the ongoing digital transformation in the financial sector.
Products from BlackRock and other companies were launched much earlier. Looking back to 2017, we see that predictions made during that time are now materializing. Trillion-dollar companies are issuing assets on crypto networks, and these assets have already reached billions of dollars in value in this early phase.
RWA and Future Predictions
The opportunities brought by tokenized treasury bonds allow investors to optimize their cash holdings for returns. Additionally, these assets are being used as reserve assets in decentralized finance applications. Securitize has indicated that the BUIDL fund could reach around $2 billion in the coming period.
