The Economic Coordination Council (EKK) gathered to discuss some economic topics. The cryptocurrency regulation draft emerged as one of the significant agenda items at the meeting.
Along with the cryptocurrency regulation draft, the meeting’s agenda also included the KIT reform, Presidential Decree No. 102, and the Current Status of State Aids.
Treasury and Finance Minister Şimşek and Central Bank Governor Erkan Also Attended the Meeting
The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), Hafize Gaye Erkan, who went to the USA for an investor meeting and has been there for about a month, also participated in the meeting.
The meeting chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz was also attended by Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci.
At the end of the meeting, a written statement is expected to be made. It is a matter of great curiosity whether any information regarding the cryptocurrency regulation draft will be included in the written statement.
