XRP Ledger adds RLUSD and EUROP stablecoin price feeds, but data reported as outdated

In Brief

  • 🚨 XRP Ledger adds RLUSD and EUROP stablecoin pricing oracles, but data is flagged outdated.

  • 💡 The DIA oracle lists $RLUSD at $1.0008 and $EUROP at $1.1192, but last updated November 2.

  • 📉 Institutional XRPL applications may hesitate to rely on on-chain feeds without fresher data.

The XRP Ledger has integrated new price-oracle feeds for Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and the euro-pegged EUROP token, joining existing listings for XRP, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and various other digital assets. This expanded infrastructure aims to provide blockchain-based financial applications with broader and more direct access to on-chain market data.

XRP Ledger Price Oracles Incorporate Stablecoins

According to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) price-data dashboard, RLUSD and EUROP pricing are now published alongside major cryptocurrencies through the network’s native oracle functionality. Market data provider DIA remains the only production oracle identified on mainnet accounts monitored by the dashboard, with two PriceOracle ledger objects recorded to date.

The ledger’s XLS-47 PriceOracle system allows providers to inject external price data directly into blockchain records. Each oracle object can include prices for up to ten different asset pairs, enabling applications to fetch up-to-date market information without making repeated requests to off-ledger external APIs.

Live data from the monitored DIA oracle lists RLUSD at $1.0008 against the US dollar, while EUROP stands at $1.1192 per US dollar. XRP is also quoted at $1.2508. Additional oracle entries display prices for Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, and USDT, though the dashboard notes all these figures are based on previously observed values rather than current, real-time pricing information.

One notable feature is the inclusion of euro-denominated stablecoin data directly within XRPL’s on-chain feed. This is significant as the XRPL ecosystem has already demonstrated examples of EUROP trading, often using XRP as a bridge asset to facilitate cross-currency conversion between digital tokens.

Mini dictionary: DIA is a decentralized data platform that supplies oracles with verified off-chain data for blockchain applications. These oracles allow smart contracts to access external information such as asset prices.

RLUSD/USD trades at $1.0008 and EUROP/USD at $1.1192 within the DIA on-ledger oracle, according to the latest published data. However, these quotations were categorized as stale due to the timing of their last update.

EUROP/USD$1.1192StaleNovember 2, 2025

Institutional Demand and Commercial Use Cases

The deployment of native oracle feeds is regarded as a step forward for XRPL’s enterprise ecosystem, supporting the reliability of pricing data for tokenized assets, collateral calculations, and automated settlement processes. Ripple, a technology company specializing in blockchain-based payment solutions, has announced several collaborations aiming to deepen institutional participation in the XRPL network. Recent partnerships with DriveWealth and C2FO are designed to add real-world use cases for RLUSD, specifically in securities settlement and commercial invoice financing.

However, neither of these collaborations has confirmed active usage of DIA’s on-ledger price oracle at this stage. The presence of stored market prices alone does not guarantee that financial institutions will rely on these values for transaction settlement or risk assessments.

Market data must not only be accessible but also maintain sufficient freshness and reliability to meet the standards required for institutional finance.

Data Freshness and Potential Risks

Despite these infrastructure upgrades, the XRPL price-data dashboard highlights concerns around the timeliness of reported oracle prices. One of the DIA oracle records was last updated in February 2025, while data categorized as most recent still reflected values from November 2, with multiple hours of lag even at the time of analysis.

Such delays may pose valuation risks for decentralized applications that require accurate, real-time pricing, especially when digital asset prices can change rapidly within short periods. The lack of up-to-date data could undermine the practical use of these feeds for sensitive workflows such as automatic lending or liquidation mechanisms.

Currently, the XRPL’s proposed lending platform has not yet reached approval status and is initially designed with off-chain underwriting, rather than on-chain collateral liquidations. This limits any direct exposure to incorrect oracle prices within the platform’s current scope. Nevertheless, the overall push for institutional credit initiatives signals a likely need for improved reliability and responsiveness in blockchain-based market data systems as adoption grows.
