$2,618 co-founder Vitalik Buterin endorsed a significant update within the SuperchainERC20 protocol, executed by Optimism. Recently detailed through a pull request on GitHub, this update aims to foster increased collaboration among Ethereum infrastructure units by introducing a new cross-chain interface, thereby striving for a more unified ecosystem.
SuperchainERC20 Update
The updated protocol introduces a new bridge called SuperchainERC20Bridge and the ICrosschainERC20 interface. This modification intends to boost Ethereum’s scalability and interoperability across various layer-2 solutions. Existing sending and relay functions will be transitioned to the SuperchainERC20Bridge.
Effective Collaboration and Ecosystem Unity
Vitalik Buterin praised the collaboration among Ethereum infrastructure players. The update is expected to facilitate greater harmony within the Ethereum ecosystem.
