Bitmine Immersion Technologies reported on Monday that its Ether holdings now total 5.79 million ETH, equivalent to approximately 4.8% of the overall circulating supply. The company made this disclosure after acquiring nearly 10,000 additional ETH over the past week, reinforcing its position as a leading corporate holder of the digital asset.
Staking Operations Bolster Returns
Bitmine stated that it has staked around 4.9 million ETH, representing roughly 85% of its current portfolio, through dedicated validator operations. The company forecasts that annualized staking rewards could reach $299 million once it fully deploys its Ether across its staking infrastructure and partner validator networks.
Bitmine’s total crypto holdings, along with its cash and marketable securities, reached $11.8 billion as of July 26. The company’s large-scale involvement in Ether staking is seen by market observers as a significant factor in maximizing returns amid changing conditions in digital asset markets.
Bitmine’s Chairman Tom Lee highlighted the ETH/BTC ratio’s three-month high, interpreting this value as evidence of strengthening momentum for Ether relative to Bitcoin. He suggested that this could support continuing strategic accumulation and staking efforts.

Ether Outperforms Bitcoin
Over the past week, Ether has outperformed Bitcoin. ETH’s price increased by 2.4% in the last seven days, while Bitcoin fell by approximately 0.7%, according to data sourced from CoinGecko. Market participants are watching these shifts as signals of evolving trends among the top cryptocurrencies.
The company maintains that its latest Ether accumulation positions Bitmine as the world’s largest corporate Ether treasury, trailing only Strategy in the total value of its digital asset holdings.
Bitmine’s strategy has started to diverge from that of Strategy, a key industry peer. While Bitmine continues to build its Ether holdings, Strategy has recently paused its Bitcoin accumulation.
Strategy’s Recent Actions
On Monday, Strategy raised $544.5 million via stock sales, completed a $25 million repurchase of STRC preferred shares, and increased its US dollar reserves to $3.75 billion. The company’s Bitcoin balance remains at 843,775 BTC, reflecting a stable approach toward its digital asset treasury management.
Industry analysts are following these developments closely, as both entities continue to employ distinct portfolio strategies amid shifting digital asset valuations and ongoing corporate activity in the sector.
