Bitmine Immersion Technologies reported on Monday that its total Ether holdings have risen to 5.79 million ETH, representing about 4.8% of the cryptocurrency’s entire circulating supply. The company, a digital asset-focused infrastructure provider, recently acquired nearly 10,000 ETH in the past week. This move solidifies Bitmine’s position as one of the major corporate holders of Ethereum, second only to Strategy in terms of total value among publicly traded companies.
Massive Ether Staking Operations
Around 4.9 million ETH, approximately 85% of Bitmine’s total Ether holdings, are currently staked via the company’s validator services. By deploying the majority of its Ethereum, Bitmine anticipates generating annualized staking rewards of roughly $299 million as its staking infrastructure and partner validator network reach full utilization.
Alongside its cryptocurrency assets, Bitmine also holds substantial reserves in cash and marketable securities. As of July 26, the company’s total holdings across digital assets, cash, and securities stand at $11.8 billion.
Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee described the company’s Ether strategy as “well-positioned,” citing a consistent approach to validator operations and the favorable outlook for staking rewards.
Mini dictionary: Validator operations refer to the process of participating in a proof-of-stake blockchain network (such as Ethereum) by verifying and adding new transactions to the blockchain, earning staking rewards in return for securing the network.
Ether Outperforms Bitcoin as Ratio Hits Three-Month High
Over the past seven days, Ether has outperformed Bitcoin. According to CoinGecko data, ETH increased 2.4%, while Bitcoin declined by about 0.7%. Tom Lee highlighted the rising ETH/BTC ratio, noting it has reached a three-month high and reflects strengthening momentum in Ether’s market position.
This sustained ETH performance has added further confidence to Bitmine’s accumulation and staking strategies, as the company continues to focus heavily on Ethereum over Bitcoin.

Comparison With Strategy’s Digital Asset Holdings
Bitmine’s corporate Ether treasury trails only that of Strategy, another high-profile digital asset holding company. However, the two firms’ strategies have recently diverged. While Bitmine has continued to accumulate Ether and increase its staking operations, Strategy has paused new Bitcoin acquisitions in recent weeks.
On Monday, Strategy revealed that it raised $544.5 million through stock offerings and repurchased $25 million in STRC preferred shares. The company also boosted its US dollar reserve to $3.75 billion and reported that its total Bitcoin holdings remain unchanged at 843,775 BTC.
Tom Lee emphasized that Bitmine’s “current accumulation phase is strategically focused on staking optimization rather than simply amassing ETH for price gains alone.”
