Meta and CoreWeave have significantly expanded their collaboration through a new deal valued at approximately $21 billion, marking a substantial increase from their earlier partnership pegged at $14.2 billion. Under the terms of this agreement, CoreWeave will provide Meta with dedicated cloud computing capacity through 2032, enabling Meta to further strengthen its investments in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
Agreement scope and technological innovation
This strengthened alliance is designed to accelerate Meta’s development and implementation of AI-based technologies. The partnership will extend infrastructure across various global regions and incorporates early-stage deployments of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, which is being touted as a next-generation AI supercomputing architecture offering exceptional performance, reliability, and scalability.
The Vera Rubin platform is seen as a critical step in transitioning from simple generative AI models to more advanced “agentic AI” systems that are capable of making independent decisions to achieve their own goals.
