Solana, Zcash, and Bitcoin are all displaying signs of persistent consolidation, with each asset struggling to establish a decisive trend reversal. Despite earlier attempts at recovery, technical indicators suggest that sellers continue to dominate the medium-term outlook for these cryptocurrencies.

Solana remains under pressure

Solana has failed to recover above its 100-day moving average after another unsuccessful rally. The asset is currently trading at $73, unable to surpass any major resistance zones except for the 200-day moving average, which stands much higher near $79.60.

Recent trading sessions highlighted that Solana’s brief period above the 100-day moving average at $74.50 was not sustained. Sellers have regained control, pushing prices lower, while the 50-day moving average continues its descent toward $75.70.

These developments have created a complex resistance structure, making it challenging for Solana to stage a strong recovery without a broader market shift. Although the asset rebounded multiple times from June’s lows, July’s performance has been marked by lower highs and fading momentum.

Rallies have repeatedly lost strength before breaking significant trend levels, as participants appear more focused on reducing positions rather than initiating new long trades. Overall trading volume has also diminished, reflecting waning conviction from both buyers and sellers.

The lack of aggressive selling reduces the likelihood of another sharp decline, yet demand remains insufficient to drive a sustainable breakout. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dipped to around 48, indicating a loss of buying pressure but not a move into oversold territory. This may clear the way for further losses if key support levels are breached.

Momentum is again below neutral as RSI retreats to about 48, signaling buyers are losing influence without pushing Solana into oversold conditions.

Traders are closely watching the $72 support area. A break below this zone could expose the June recovery base between $68 and $70. For bulls to regain control, Solana must recover the 50-day and 100-day moving averages. A significant technical improvement would only occur with a close above the 200-day moving average near $80.

Zcash tests crucial support levels

Zcash, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, has moved back toward its 200-day moving average after losing momentum in late July. After gaining ground earlier in the month, ZEC has fallen below its 50-day and 100-day moving averages, threatening to reverse much of its prior strength.

Zcash is now trading near $462. The 200-day moving average, located at about $411, represents the last major long-term technical support beneath the current price. The asset formed a pattern of lower highs and lower lows after peaking at $570, suggesting that buying interest has faded.

Both the 50-day moving average at $495 and the 100-day moving average at $472 now serve as immediate resistance, increasing the difficulty of any short-lived rallies.

Trading volume has fallen sharply since June and early July, a sign of decreased participation following the summer rally. This coincides with deteriorating price momentum and a cautious outlook, as the RSI dropped to around 43 without reaching oversold conditions.

This structure leaves room for further declines before Zcash attracts substantial dip buying interest and approaches technical exhaustion.

If current levels fail to hold, attention will likely turn to the 200-day moving average near $410 as the next critical technical support. Whether Zcash can maintain a broader recovery or enter a more extended correction may hinge on this level.

Bitcoin’s sideways movement and key price zones

After rebounding from a sharp slide in June, Bitcoin continues to trade in a narrow band around $64,000. Despite recovering above its 100-day moving average, the cryptocurrency remains below both its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, limiting any clear return to bullish conditions.

Recent volatility saw Bitcoin drop from above $80,000 to a local low near $59,000, before forming a series of higher lows in subsequent sessions. The 100-day moving average, flattened near $63,300, has served as dynamic support as buyers defended this level.

Resistance remains formidable. The 50-day moving average is positioned near $67,500, still trending lower, while the 200-day moving average sits further above at $73,200. Bulls must clear this zone to change the longer-term trend outlook.

AssetCurrent Price50-day MA100-day MA200-day MA
Solana$73$75.70$74.50$79.60
Zcash$462$495$472$411
Bitcoin$64,000$67,500$63,300$73,200

Trading volume has dropped significantly since the initial sell-off in June. The atmosphere now resembles an accumulation or range-trading phase, with neither buyers nor sellers showing a clear advantage.

Momentum indicators, including the RSI, have also stabilized, with the index recovering to 53 but still lacking enough traction to support a lasting breakout. More persistent buying will be needed to overcome resistance near $65,500 and the 50-day moving average.

The key support for Bitcoin lies between $63,000 and $64,000. A definitive move below this area may open the way to $61,000 and potentially a retest of June’s local lows around $59,000.
