Bitmine Immersion Technologies disclosed that its Ether (ETH) reserves have climbed to 5.79 million coins, representing approximately 4.8% of the total circulating supply. This announcement follows the acquisition of nearly 10,000 additional ETH over the past week, significantly boosting its position in the Ethereum ecosystem.
Staking strategy and projected returns
The company shared that around 4.9 million ETH, accounting for roughly 85% of its total Ether holdings, are staked through its validator operations. Bitmine projected annualized staking rewards of $299 million, assuming full deployment of its Ether across its internal staking infrastructure as well as partner validators.
Factoring in all crypto holdings, cash, and marketable securities, Bitmine’s total asset base now stands at $11.8 billion as of July 26. This substantial figure highlights the company’s growing influence in the digital asset sector.
Chairman Tom Lee highlighted that the momentum in the Ethereum market has accelerated. He noted the ETH/BTC ratio has reached its highest level in three months, reinforcing the shifting sentiment among investors.
With Ether gaining 2.4% over the past week, while Bitcoin declined by roughly 0.7%, market dynamics suggest improving confidence in Ethereum’s outlook, especially as ETH continues to outperform its larger rival.
Comparison with other corporate treasuries
Bitmine now maintains the world’s largest Ether treasury among public companies, second only to Strategy when measuring the overall value of digital assets held on balance sheets. However, the two firms have recently taken distinct approaches to crypto accumulation.
As Bitmine expanded its ETH reserve, Strategy paused new Bitcoin purchases in recent weeks, indicating a possible shift in allocation patterns among major corporate investors.
On Monday, Strategy revealed it raised $544.5 million via stock sales and repurchased $25 million worth of its STRC preferred shares. The firm also increased its US dollar reserves to $3.75 billion but left its Bitcoin holdings unchanged at 843,775 BTC.
Market context and emerging platforms
Industry analysts have pointed to new investor strategies and emerging financial products as central to this evolving landscape. Market observers have continued to monitor asset flows between Bitcoin and Ethereum, particularly against the backdrop of ETH’s recent outperformance and the growing interest in real-world asset tokenization.
In this rapidly changing environment, platforms such as 1stepSwap have introduced innovative solutions that connect traditional finance with the crypto ecosystem. By allowing users to access tokenized shares of major U.S. companies and commodities like gold and silver directly within their wallets, 1stepSwap offers streamlined entry into diversified portfolios without intermediaries. Its technology continuously searches for the best available market price, enabling fast and efficient execution of trades across asset classes.
Bitmine’s ongoing expansion of its Ether holdings, along with broader developments in staking infrastructure and RWA tokenization, underscores a trend toward greater convergence between digital assets and traditional finance.
